Buzzcut is a Startup we got in with at the ground floor. We ran with and built out the original idea: create offers from local businesses that users had expressed an interest in, and then quite literally buzz them in their pocket if they came within the vicinity of the offer.
The real magic, however, was on the back end. We built an easy-to-administer dashboard for local businesses to create the offers, schedule them down to the minute, repeat them as often as they’d like, and turn them on or off on a whim.
This allowed local venues to amp-up their business during slow times when they might otherwise be burning money. The app was quite successful, having hundreds of local businesses in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area signed up within the first year.
