Challenge

Develop a sales strategy for 3M’s privacy filter line of products, dominated by alpha-numeric model numbers and confusing or non-existent product-matching for a multitude of possible users.

Solution

I worked with Gage to profile the potential users and develop a series of personas around them, then following that up with extensive use cases for each. Ultimately I built an Axure prototype and we conducted usability tests with users representing each persona.

Result

An easy-to-understand site now allows people at various point in the purchase funnel to affirm their needs and match one of hundreds of products to their own device.
